    Default no more bioballs

i have been running a wetdry for 8 months, along with refugium. What would be the best way to do away with bioballs. should i just take them out and not put anything back in or should i try and convert thqt box into another refugium. i am running about 1300 gal hour through the box.

    thanks for the help

Take the balls out in stages. About 10-25% per week IMO. This will allow your tank time to adjust itself to keep up with the bio load. Just dont pull them all out at the same time.

If you have a heavy animal load pull out half of the ball now and the other half in a couple weeks. If you don't have a heavy load pull them all and put in rubble. Keep the rubble submerged.

the majority of my bioballs are out of the water so i could not put in alot of rubble.

Just run it as a return sump then. Put in what you can for rubble.
