    Default FO in 29T

I am going to setup a 29 gallon Tall and just want to do fish only since my 75 gallon reef is doing quite well.

My thought was to have a puffer, trigger, and something else to start with. Any suggestions?

I have that already in the reef. I want to go with carnivores or non-reef safe fish. I used to have an awesome dog face puffer in my old 35 and miss that .

You could probably get away with a trigger and a puffer for a year, maybe two before they out grow a 29g tank.

I say go for it, but be ready for the fish to grow.

I have always wanted a grouper or a batfish but they need hundreds of gallons to themselves.

Lookdown fish are one of my newest favorites. A couple of dozen in a 1000g would be awesome.

I stopped by CB Pets last week and they had an awesome Mineatus Grouper for $30. He would eventually outgrow a 29T too but I think you are going to run into that with any predators other than dwarf lions.
