Thread: fluval horrors

    Default fluval horrors

Well, I unhooked the fluval 404 and cleaned it out. Placed fresh carbon in the baskets, hooked it back up and low and behold...

A flurry of "fluval poop" shot out and flooded the tank.

It's 30 mins later and the gunk has settled or been refiltered into
    the fluval.

Any ideas on how to prevent this, other than not using a fluval?
(for you smarty-pantses out there who just have to point that out)

I have a fluval 404 in my main tank, but until I get this figured out,
I'd rather experiment in my Jail Tank(where hermits get banished).
