AFAIK=and for all i know????
well ive studied dreams and dream psychology for a long time(just for fun) and there are 5 stages to sleep. in the fourth stage is REM(this is where u dream) u dont get very good sleep but it does keep ur brain occupied. u probably DONT have dreams because if u only get a couple hours of sleep a night and ur really tired im sure ur totally in the 5th stage of sleep(this is pretty close to a comma) its the best sleep u can get and u only need about an hour and a half to two hours of this type of sleep to fully function the next day.
as for my method, i catch myself halfway through a dream and i force myself to remember what happened before that, then before that, and so on....it takes some practice cuz not everyone can control dreams on their first go at it, but then again, like urself, more people get better sleep than i do. when i took psychology last year this was my favorite subject about it and ever since then i have just kept studying up on it!
