    Kim,

    You should get the pond setup first and get the plants that will fit the scenery. If you dig it and use a liner, remember that you will need some shallow areas, as alot of plants dont like to be submurged more that a foot or so. Also, before you dig, take into consideration trees that will overlook the pond as they will drop leaves in it in the fall(I've been cleaning them out of ours the last two weeks) and also that their roots could puncture the liner.

    If you need a pump and filter, let me know. My inlaws took down their big pond and have a nice filter/pump setup they want to sell. The pump will do 3000gph through 2.25" hose.
