My clowns have hosted in

I feel so bad my poor little clowns have no anenome and no corals therefore they've hosted in some long hair algae. I can't help but feel bad seeing them sleep between the algae and going there for shelter.

I guess I need an anemone before the algae get's mowed down.

You shouldn't be feeling bad... Clowns don't NEED anemones in captivity. They will be perfectly content without one, especially if they are tank-raised. And even if you add one, it doesn't mean that they will take to it. My occellaris hosted my return-pump's water flow, wouldn't have anything to do with the anemones I provided. If you want an anemone, make sure that you have the tank requirements to support one.
