    Default biochem stars??

well i recently went over to alamo aquatics, and in there front mini reef tank, they have a cpr bakpak, with some biochem stars stuffed in it, what my question is, are those beneficial for your tank, i was thinking of doing the same and adding a couple inside my cpr, the only thing that scares me is that i dont want no high nitrates to start up, should i add them or not, if not let me know why!! thanks all!

You answered your own question. High nitrates.
