    Default experiment

well. I'm setting up an Eclipse 6 gal that i have had laying around. i want to test the foam background... I have it set up and running with nothing but the water and background. i will leave it this way for a couple of days with some carbon running in it. so far it looks really cool! I have made a sample of the background on a piece of plexi that i will bring to the meeting so everyone can see what it looks like in person. here's the catch.. since i don't have a tank right now, I don't have any small pieces of live rock to put in the tank to get it going. the idea is to put one or two damsels in it and try to grow, mushrooms, polyps and see how well coralline algea takes to the foam. all of this is going to be documented in a journal because i eventually want to set up my 110 gal cube this way. Soooo, If anyone or many people would like to donate several small pieces of live rock to get this thing going i would appreciate it. hopefully the relsults will benefit many people in this group.. what do you think?

Sounds like a neat plan. I am using most of my spare frags for the nano I am building for the meeting but I can probably get you some mushrooms.

    Mike L.,
I can give you the rock for your Eclipse project, but can you pick them up asap?

I have done this to a 110 tall. It looks good and the foam seems to be inert. I'll post some pics when I get the chance.

You can pick it up whenever, but the sooner, the better. I'm around today and tomorrow after 3 p.m.
