    Default BRAIN TROUBLE

Help! My beautiful brain coral has started to receed! I'll try to get a photo to attach tonight, but thought I'd post this and see if anyone might have some thoughts for me. Here are some tank specs:
    Temp: 77 degrees
    SG: 1.023
    Ammonia: trace
    Nitrites: trace
Nitrates: (have recently spiked at 40 mg...two water changes have it down to 10 and dropping) :?
    Ph: 8.0

Have you recently taken it out of the water? A lot of times when people take theyre open brains out of the water the tissue will actually be poked by the skeleton and puncture through. Now if your brain was not fully extending before and is now withering away at the edges, that may be something different all together. Some pics would definately help...and the spike you had could have had something to do with it...or maybe the spike just happenned due to the decline in the open brain. Just need a little more info, and a picture would also be nice. I absolutely love my open brain, and hopefully yours can be saved.
