Cyclop-eeze

I've ordered a sample of a frozen food called cyclop-eeze to try on some of the FW and SW fish in my store. The rep claims it is even better for many corals and other zooplankton feeders. Has anyone has had any experience with this food?

Cyclops...pretty yummy lil crabs to most fish. I wouldn't feed them to small fry or tiny fish, though. There are other substitutes as in all things, but hey, fish seem to like them and they are supposedly nutritious, but I haven't seen any scale on just how nutritious they are :s I suppose anything is better than brine XD

Yes they have been using it for a while, but majority of what I see is either supplemental or as a weening process. I believe the fry of any fish have to be of certain size as precautions, if feeding live cyclops. Reef Central had a big thread on cyclops as well.

I still wouldn't mind seeing a scale of what these lil suckers pack, like they do all supplements or foods lol :-D

Unfortunately I do not have exp in breeding (done the vast reading at least), but I will begin that venture soon. I have had exp in just about everything else though, I've learned the hard, hands-on way lol.

Hey Joshua, Glad you like it. I don't think there is a live version available since these little critters come from ice cold arctic water. Argent makes an oil extract that can be added to other feeds but I don't know of any suppliers who carry it. "Fish Crack" is a good name given how fish react to it. It's a very nutritious supplemental food (much better than brine) but of course a varied diet is always recommended.
