    Just an update: Iwaki ended up crediting me for both the new unit AND the $56 overnight freight charges to get it here quickly.
    Didn't expect the freight charges to be credited. Was quite impressed. Credited the day after they received the defective unit back.

    That's a plus that I will keep in mind when I need a replacement.

    That was nice of them. I guess you get what you pay for. You pay a little more for an IWAKI but you get excellent customer service.
