King Diatom Dead!

Well, it seems I have defeted diatom algae for now.

But a new evil arises from the east...the evil lord of the Green Algae!

It's slowly taking form, but my astrea snails and Turbos seem to igmore it.

Any ideas?

Also, I've heard the cycle of algae is brown - green - red - coraline.

Is this semi-correct?

Yes... Julian Sprung talks about the algae cycle in his book Algae a Problem Solver Guide... Exelent guide IMHO the green is commonly hair algae though then slime then coraline

SuperX unfortunately you will probably have to wait it out. Do your water changes and see what happens.
