    Default Problems with AquaBook Software

    I have downloaded the program AquaBook several times and every time I try creating a default Tank the program gives an error. It says on the screen:

    Unexpected Error: Class not registered.
    Looking for object with CLSID:{00000010-0000-0010-8000-00AA006D2EA4}

    Do any of you guys or adies know what to do about this? I am using XP Pro on this computer and I am not sure if XP is not compatible with it. Thanks to all who read this post.

    Sincerely,
    Fabian

    Are you loading it under a profile that has administrator privileges?

    Try logging in as administrator, then load it. Normal users generally don't have the privliages to load new programs in W2k and WXP. MS did that way so that you could keep non trusted users from loading programs with out your knollage.

    i think that it needs a run time library to work....

    have you uninstalled, and then reinstalled. sometimes (actually most of the time) it has to do with the file rights. what you can try (if security is not an issue) is rt click on the folder and reset permissions.

    ROFL!!! :-D that is absolutely hilarious! i just switched over to a mac indecember BECAUSE of the bsod(blue screen of death) the new jaguar osx 10.2 uses unix so its really really safe too. i heard about all the viruses going around in the ark boards(rip ark) :cry:

    anyways, fabian you might want to look into whether or not the site you got the program from has updated drivers of sorts that make it compatible(sp?) with xp. i used to have a lot of problems with getting new drivers for older programs using xp when i had my pc

    hope it helps, steve

    Thanks to all who have answered this post. I will check for new updates for this product. I hope it works cause it seems to be a good program to have.
