    Josh, are you sure it's not a sponge? There is a hitchiker sponge I get sometimes that looks a lot like a spider egg sack.

    I think it is that dangerous blue ringed reef spider egg sack! Don't touch it or you will die from the nerve toxic barbs it shoots out!
