Any advice on digital pics with CP lighting?

I have a nice digital camera but cannot seem to get very good pics of my tank since i upgraded the lights (4) 96w power quads.
Any particular setting you guys use? I noticed Tim has some very sharp, clear pics on his site... 8)

My camera doesn't have macro so I have to get back a few feet and zoom in. The other guys have macro which will take much better pictures. I have to take a hundred pictures to get one good one.
