Has anyone fragged a Colt ... I have one that has @ 4 good size base "stalks" and was wondering if I can split easily? Also if I can once cut do I need to do anything to the origional?

You will find that cult is one of the easiest corals to frag. All I do is get a pair of sissors and cut here and trim there. Make it your own Bonzi colt. :P
It takes a few days for the colt's wound to heal. But in a week or so a new bud will begin to grow again.

Have fun with your "Bonzi Colt" ;)

The only problem you may have is sometimes colt frags are hard to get to attach to rock. One good way around that is to stick a plastic toothpick through the base of the frag, and rubberband that to the rock. Then, the colt will gradually attach to the rock, and you can remove the rubber band and its done. They tend to come lose when you use just super glue.

I have started using nylon thread to tie my colt frags to rocks, it works great!

Here is a good way to attach "loose" corals to live rock....

LOW VIS FISHING LINE... Alot of fishing line is designed to "disappear" under water...

I have used it to anchor my pulsating xenia, ricordea, and a moon polyp (I think -- see my new pics in the gallery)... You can barely see the fishing line.

I make a small lasso in the fishing line and loop it around a live rock frag... Once the coral frag has "set", I cut the fishing line off...

Yeah...it's hard to get a colt frag to attach...I got a frag from Troy and tried twice to "lodge" it between 2 rocks...it came loose - then tried to super glue it...came loose & I lost it down into the pits of my LR...ANCHOR IT WELL!
