Mexican Turbo Snail Secreting ?

I went to clean a friends aquarium and while cleaning it, I noticed he had lots of baby turbo snails which I thought was odd since I've heard people say they are hard to breed in captivity and after cleaning the tank I noticed that one of the large snails was getting out of the tank practically about to fall off therefore I grabbed him and dropped him back into the tank. After a few minutes that same snail started secreting some white liquid that he secreted for about 5 minutes.

Any idea what he was secreting, was it sperm, some toxin since he was mad or what could it have been ?

Sounds like you touched him in that special way.... Was there any Barry White playing in the background? :-D

Also, it's not that snails are hard to breed... I have snail eggs on the glass of my nano about every other day... it's just providing them safety that remains to be the hard part. With powerheads, filters, and everything else in the tank that can blow them around and chop them up it leaves them vulnerable to being eaten. Lower flow tanks often make better homes for raising the babies of snails, fish, brine and other things...
