I've finally got my calcium reactor calibrated to my aquarium. I must say this is the most amazing thing I have ever experienced in all of my years of reefing. It has really simplified the hobby for me. My maintainance consists of adding fresh water every few days, and cleaning my protein skimmer. However I still need time to acclimate myself from not having to "dink" with my tank everyday. For anyone like me, who was reluctant to buy one because of the price. Go for it!!! It is well worth the money if your system warrants a calcium reactor. Also I cannot wait to try out Jim D's Kalk reactor on my wifes tank.

If you are luckey like me, Vihn might buy one, then wait a short while for him to sell it at half the price. :-D :-D Thank You Vihn (Monti Hall)J/K :-D

Hello! When you come over you can help me dail in my calcium reactor. I have one like you have and am having alittle trouble with it. I also have a My Reef Creation dual unit which is working great! As far as JimD's Kalk reactors I now have two!!!! The first one is working great and he just made me a second even larger one which is now working with the calcium reactor.

Now all you need to do is hook it to your R/O unit with a kent float valve and then all you will have to do is add food.

I'm about 3/4 of the way through the MACO course on building a calcium reactor, and I'm dying to get it up and running. It looks to be a very high quality reactor; 6" cast tube. Mine will hold a gallon of media; the smallest size the course offered. I'm learning all kinds of useful things about acrylic fabrication. The reactor will end up costing less than $150, including the price for the course. In addition, I'll have to buy an eheim pump and a CO2 set-up; about another $150. So, for $300, I'll have what I hope is a killer reactor, plus the knowledge (and templates) to make a high-end beckett skimmer. I highly recommend these courses.
