Just take it out and throw it away. That is how you get rid of Nitrogen, Phos abd other nutrients from your tank.

What all does it take out of the water. I have 90 gallon with a bunch of carnivores so I feed a lot of frozen foods which have a lot of phosphates so i could use something that absorbs them. What kind of lighting do they require. I would like to put some in my sump but how much lighting. Would a regular 20 watt N.O. work or would i need more. I would love some no matter what. Just let me know what you want me to do.
I just got my refugium up and running.... Still got some leftovers??? If so... Let me know.
In my opinion, 20 watt's of NO lighting won't be enough to see any significant growth from the caulerpa. The more lighting the better.Originally Posted by jcoxe

Do you know how much you paid for the LOA 64 watt PC from Home Depot? Thanks!
$30 to $35, plus you have to wire it up yourself, so add another $4 to that. Make sure you mod it for better heat ventilation. Try not to use it w/out the cover on.
