Thanks Vihn! :rotf:
After a long hard day on a construction site and having a bad headache, that one gave me a good laugh :-D
I shouldn't laugh too hard, I tend to have that kind of luck as well!

Captexas,
It is $5.00 upgrade for the 1200 maxijet, but it is a $18.00 upgrade for the mag.

Hi;
I have the in sump version of the remora; urchin. Without the mj1200, it's a pretty feeble skimmer. To be honest, I'd save some money and get a prizm; it's 1/2 the price and pulls about as much gunk out. It's a bit more finicky to adjust, though, and not built as well. PM I don't know about, but it has a good reputation.
Getting back to the remora mod, has anyone tried anything bigger than a MJ1200 on the regular (non-pro) remora or urchin? Maybe this would charge up my skimmer. I have a 45gal reef and I think the urchin is barely adequate...

Look at all those live rocks on the beach at Florida's state park!
Matt,
I have the urchin with the MJ1200 and am also running it on a 45 gal tank. I emailed the folks at aquaC and asked them about running a mag3 on it, and they responded that running a mag3 on the regular urchin wasn't a good idea. They recommended putting a ball valve in line between the pump and the skimmer so you could regulate the flow better. I haven't done it yet, but I'm kicking the idea around.
