I couldn't belive it when I heard this....

I was in the local pet/lfs store here in Kerrville yesterday, and they had this HUGE yellow tang in their tank. When I asked about it, the girl told me that some lady had brought it and some other fish in. So I asked why she was getting rid of it. I was told that the lady had bought a bunch or live rock and that it had turned her tank brown (diatom bloom?) so she had tore everything down and tossed the rock out in the back yard. I asked how long the tank had been set up, and was told "A week or two." The girl at the lfs also told me that the lady was going to go back in with freshwater fish.

I wish I'd known this when it happened. Might have been a chance at some good live rock for nothing.

That's true. I'm just sorry that she didn't give it longer. A reef system can be a lot of fun and is very relaxing, most of the time.
