Thanks Misti. ;)

From what I can find on this pump(if i'm correct, aquatic eco doesn't list the actual model so it's one of two)... this pump is wayyyy overkill.

The Super Aqua Sea 6850 is a 3450 rpm unit with heavy duty motors. This pump is for applications requiring medium head pressures and high flow rates. It flows between 2000 and 8700 g.p.h. at pressures up to eighteen psi. High speed Super Aqua Sea pumps work best between 14 and 40 head feet. These pumps have a 2" inlet and outlet wet end.
At 0' head pressure, this puppy pushes 114GPM!
At 13' head pressure, this puppy pushes 90 GPM!
At 30' head pressure, this puppy pushes 50 GPM!

To make a comparion... My AmpMaster 3000:
At '0 head pressure will push 60GPM
At 13' head pressure will push 20GPM
And anything past 18' it won't even be able to push water up that high

So considering the actual head pressure of my tank will only be 5' give or take an extra foot or two for corners, my AM3K would be pushing somewhere between 45-50GPM

This new pump on the same setup would be pushing around 105GPM!

:o

I think I may have to try and trade it away for a smaller pump.
