It wasn't that hard to cut the angle of the Overflow into the foam board by using a table saw. There were some slight gaps when you looked at it from an angle but that was rectified by adding a sigle strip of black electrical tape around the outline of the box on the outside. As to the seam, there is a seam that allows me to get it behind the pipes. The trick here is once you cut the 2x4 board in half, turn it around so that the factory edges butt up one another before cutting out the shape for the Overflow.
