Hello maastards I have a couple quick questions. Let me start off with that I am constantly checking my tank and making sure it is perfect. Well I started my set up the beginning of July. We are now 5 months later and I am getting a large amount of brown algae. Well large to me lol not large to most of you. It is not on my rocks and very lightly on my sand. But i have to scrape the glass off 2 times a day My overflow is completely brown. (Don't ask but yea I didn't know you guys cleaned it out lmao) anyway lol. I put a large amount of live rock into the aquarium a little over a month ago and I think that is we're all this algae is coming from. So I guess my question is how long will I be fighting this? And what would you do to help get rid of it? I'm doing a 15% water change tomorrow and plan to clean everything out of the sump and the overflow. I do not really over feed my animals and my lights are only on full blast 6 hours and blues are on 2 hours before and after.
