DIY LED soldering help needed

Does anyone have the tools and know how to solder my LED's together? I bought the LED retrofit kit and I like it.

I tried soldering and have half working and half not...the half not still works when I use the tester for that one LED but in series does not and I think it may be due to tinning cable and LED issues. Maybe its my soldering gun but I could use some help.

My lights have been off for a day now and I need to get this back up.
