29g prop tank
Well, I finaly have got alittle done on my prop tank project. The tank is a gutted biocube 29, I removed the upper rim and back filtration. I then drilled and added a glass-holes overflow box and return kit, I still need to repaint the back wall to cover the factory unpainted section. For a sump I used 2 5.5g tanks and drilled them and connected them with a 1" bulkhead, I haven't added any baffles yet because I'm still trying to deside on a algae scrubber setup or a fuge w/ chaeto and a skimmer. I like the sound of the algae scrubber setup, just don't know if I wanna deal with the weekly work involved on a system that isn't 100% proven. If I deside agianst a ATS I will just keep a fuge w/ chaeto and a bubble magus nano skimmer. The rest of the sump will be filled with rock rubble and return pump of course. I ordered a aquaticlife 150w MH pendant for the tank, my last setup was led so for this one I really wanted to go "old school" and try something that has proven itself for years. As I get more done I will add update pics. This system is going to be mainly for sps/zoas. I plan to add several small fish to add "coral food" aka poo into the system, not sure what yet, I'm thinking some kind of small cardinals like orange lined. Any opinions on small fish that I could keep 5-7 please let me know. Ok a few quick pics.
