I was doing my daily cleaning of the qt tank when I spied something funny on the bottom of the tank. I looks like some sort of bug. I keep the tank covered so I don't think a bug landed in there. They have only been eating frozen mysid and brine. I clean after every feeding so I don't leave anything to rot. It looks weird and is a bit squishy (not a hard beetle, more like a grub). I am not an entomologist so it could be a household bug that I am not familiar with, but my first reaction is that the fish might have pooped out a parasite of some sort. The fish are heniochus acuminatus and h. diphreutes. Am I crazy? I am not using any anti parasite meds or foods only hyposalinity.
