been having problem with tang having fuzz on tail and color not looking perfect. checked water parameters and ammonia, nitrate, and nitrate showed zero. ph was between 7.8 and 8.0. i used seachem buffer to fix ph. now my skimmer had a leak and was off for about two days. i added some carbon and now my water is a bit cloudy. i've noticed green algae in sump and glass of tank. i'm guessing my phosphate levels must be up because my other parameters show zero. i don't have any coral in tank. i read that too much carbon can leak phosphates. i'm wondering if now that my skimmer is back on if it will pull out the phosphates or do i need to buy some of that phosban. any quick suggestions will help. fish stores close at 7. my skimmer is now putting out alot of foam so i'm assuming it's working. thanks.
