The day I would see my Male Bangaii with those eyes sticking out of his mouth, I'd catch him that night and make him release the brood into a breeder net. Holding a brood for 20+ days is pretty hard on the male's health. Next morning I'd spot feed the male the most nutritious foods I possibly could.
