My first cousin Sara was the Navy's first female Fighter Squadron Commander, and she's now just months away from becoming the Navy's first CAG (Carrier Air Wing Commander). Here's a recent article. She spent a lot of time with us when she went thru pilot training in Beeville and CCNAS. Interestingly, she is married to an F-18 pilot (but he's only a Commander), and they have 2 kids.
