Water Birth Spa...pump got wet...help..?
Figured the GURU's who use external pumps on their tanks might be able to help me out.
So...I was setting up a SPA that we got the other day (to be used as a water birth pool since our tub is too small) and when I turned it on it had a leak. I quickly turned it off and spent a little time trying to find the leak. It was one of the union nuts from the pump to the spa.
After cleaning up the mess, which wasn't bad because I used a thick pond liner under it, I found that the pump got wet because it smoked a little bit. Turned it off and I'm debating turning it back on tonight to see if it still works.
Fortunately I have 2 spare pumps for it but I'm not sure if either work. They look brand new though. I'm certain one doesn't work though as the previous owner said one was a replacement from the manufacturer from a previous spa they owned and one was for parts.
Anyways....ever have an external pump get wet? Did it work afterwards?
Thanks.
