I tested out a 24" 1:1 white/blue model over a 40G breeder and it lit the thing up well! For coral growth you'd need several mounted together or they work great if say you have a 14K led and want to add some more blue, or a 20K and think you need more white etc etc. They are built in a waterproof housing so they can be really close to the water which is kinda handy, dont submerge them LOL but you can keep them right close to the water without fear of salt getting inside and messing em up
