I decided to get some scooters instead of mandarins. I wasn't having good results with special ordering a male; after months of waiting I finally decided to go another route.

I got a pair of red scooters. I really really hope it's a boy and a girl. Unfortunately it's not as easy to tell on the scooters as it is on the mandarins. They're still so small, it's probably just a guess anyway.

Guessing by their behavior, I doubt it's two males. It might be two girls, which wouldn't be so bad I guess. But I'm claiming them a pair because that's what I want them to be.

Meet Kawasaki and Suzuki.

Kawasaki, the "male," is always showing off his little dorsal.


I've got them in the fuge for now, so I can target feed them frozen until I'm sure they're eating. If they're still getting along, they'll both go into the main tank.
