Karin I think part of it also with the catfish is when fishermen catch them they hate catching them so much they just leave them on shore to die. It is really not cool. They are quite dangerous with the three venomous fins (daggers) they have on them. One on the dorsal fin and two on the sides. Maybe they are afraid of handling them so they leave them there.
