I wouldn't recommend discus in a nano --about a 75 or so is the smallest I would personally go.

I second the idea of a nice nano, either salt water or fresh. Plenty of small and unusual ideas you can go with in the 30 or less range.

Some ideas ~
A mants shrimp tank (A smaller species --Pm me if your interested and i can get specific.)

A Seahorse or pipe fish tank.

A small planted Nano stocked with some tetras and a centerpiece like a pair of dwarf cichlids.

A local Port A biotope

A salt water planted tank with seagrass and macro algea

Anyways, there are a lot of good ideas for nanos out there --I just don't think discus is one of them.
