Euromom, of course I understand any hesitance members may have on this, but I was also referring to the view count on this topic. I realize that this isn't a hot reef topic and I'm not an upper echelon member.
The 2 agencies I spoke to yesterday have both said that $$$ translates into faster relief for haiti. Funds received are immediately used to purchase supplies and their shipment to the needed areas.
To all of you that have donated $$$, it us being used right now to help the victims. So kudos to everyone that's already given.
But, I'm also trying to be pro-active about this and have volunteered in other relief efforts. Most of the non-perishable items I listed have been standard. Blankets are the only things we're holding off of since shipping may be an issue.
Right now our church works with a missionary in the Dominican Republic so we're trying to get something set up. Once I have official word, I'll pass it along.
I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member.
