I have a 90g bare bottom tank and I can not seem to keep the PH up unless I use two part calcium supplements. I am still trying to dial in my calcium reactor to keep my calcium levels above 400, but my alk is always between 10-12.

Do I need to add sand on the bottom or something? I have a small sump/fuge with only 5lbs of sand in it.
