Awesome post John. The pictures are a great touch and will help our members with identification, no doubt. I would like to add something here...

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure...

1. Skimmer - Remove the nutrients before they grow nasties.
2. RO/DI - Why add phosphate/silicates to your system.
3. Water Changes - Use RO/DI, perform them regularly.

+1 I think I will combine all that in one paragraph at the top of the page at some point. Copying it and pasting was a bad formatting idea anyway. I would like to lump all the general info in one place if possible.
