Default Spiny Cup Pectinia Coral (N-SA)

    Coral:
    Spiny Cup Pectinia Coral

    Description:
This colony came from B&B aquatics. Thank you Christi for placing an ID on it for me! It’s also known as a Lettuce, Carnation or Cabbage coral. Super cool piece. It grows like candy cane coral from the base/skeleton but looks like one big head of lettuce with nice greens, purple and blue hues. Live aquaria classifies it as an SPS but I think it’s an LPS.

    Lighting:
    -250watt x2 MH 14k x 6hrs/day
    -110w x 2 Actinic VHO x 10hrs/day

    Location:
-Low-Mid reef and angled to it’s side to prevent debris from landing on it

    Flow:
    -Moderate to medium

    Donor (#available):
    Mr Cob(0)

    Sponsor (#returned):
    Captain Jack(0)

    Waiting list:
    none yet

This pic includes the mother colony and the large frag above it.
