So I have been using 5g jugs to carry water from the LFS to my house. I have been using them for water changes (in that I siphon water from the tank into them). I had some detritus leftover in the bottom so I rinsed it out with the hose. Could that have contributed silicates and metals just off the damp inside? If so should I toss them or just rinse them in Ro/Di water and keep them?
