My 14g Biocube (Tell me what you think)
Hello All,
I am new to the community and was introduced to it by B&B Aquatics of San Antonio. I have had my tank for 1 year now and everything is running perfect. All of my livestock is growing outstanding.
A little about my 14g Biocube. I have upgraded the pump to a Rio 210gph, Hydor deflector, replaced bioballs with rubble, added an Oceanic Protein Skimmer, use a Hagan 30 gallon carbon bag above the rubble and I replace it monthly and I run a 50/50 PC and an Actenic PC (Stock). I plan on upgrading the lighting to 3 PC's (10,000K, Actenic and 50/50) here very soon. I have about 1 1/2- 2 inches of substrate and 17-20 pounds of live rock.
My current livestock consists of: Pulsing Xenia, Frogspawn, Torch Coral, Candy Cane Coral (NEW), Zooanthids (Green, Blue, Brown and Pink Center), Yellow Polyps, Mushrooms (Green Stripe, Green, Purple and Pink), Ricordias (Pink and purple), Starburst Polyps and Grape Calupra. I have 2 fish: Bi-Color Blenny and a Firefish. I have snalis, blue and red leg hermits, Nassarius and a Queen Conch.
I keep my levels as follows:
Ph - 7.8-8.2
DKH - 8
Cal - 470-520
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 0
Ammonia - 0
Temp - 80
Lights run as follow:
Actenic - 0600-2000hrs
50/50 - 0700-1900hrs
Moonlights - 1900-0700hrs
You can find the pictures of my tank here: http://www.maast.org/forums/album.php?albumid=36
Thanks for looking!
Kevin
