Smile Orange bird's nest with burgundy polyps (Seriatopora hystrix) - Cedar Park

Well, zcatzmeow and I can't possibly be the ONLY northern MAASTards interested in the frag program! Where are the rest of the Austin-area reefers?

I've got an orange bird's nest with purple or burgundy polyps that's done really well for me. The parent colony is an ORA aquacultured coral. I have it down near the bottom of the tank, about 18" or more below the surface, and in moderately light flow. The lower flow has resulted in VERY delicate, lacy branches. Since my poor li'l obsolete digital camera can't seem to take a decent shot of this coral, I've linked to a pic on LiveAquaria.com that shows the coloration. However, the branches on mine are much thinner than the one in the pic.

I currently have one frag on an aragonite plug, and the tips have already split about 1/4" since I mounted it a couple of weeks ago.
