night light???
After seeing some of the other aquariums, I see that people will mix the actinic lights with their standard lights and that the actinic lights work almost as a "blacklight" in that they really bring out the glowing colors. The question is, can fish or coral even detect actinic lights? Do they even know that they're on?
I would like to have a "night light" of sorts. Something that I can turn on to see my fish and coral at night, but not have to worry about algae growth or bleaching. A light that could theoretically be left on 24 hrs a day without harming or stressing the system.
Is there such a thing? Or am I just describing precisely what actinics are.
Thanks
