Red Sea Berlin Skimmer: $50

The Berlin Classic originally set the standard by which all other skimmers are measured. The original triple-pass design optimizes the contact time between air and water by length of contact. The telescoped tubes of the Berlin allow for a long contact time as the air/water mixture moves up and down the triple pass design.

The traditional venturi injector allows for a massive influx of fine bubbles while creating a turbulent storm in the bottom mixing chamber. This "Classic" venturi driven skimmer can be operated from an external or submersed pump for increased design options. The ozone resistant parts, optional carbon air filter above the collection cup and air return skirt that ensures that no air bubbles return to the aquarium, make these models ideal ozone reactors.

This skimmer design changed the world for the serious aquarium hobbyist nearly ten years ago and it`s just as effective and popular today. The Berlin Classic is still a great choice for most types of marine and reef aquariums.
