Easy BakPak Mod

Several people have been asking about this mod so I thought Id post it here so everyone can see..

First, you drill a 5/16" hole through the center of the collection cup lid like so..



Then, attach a limewood airstone to a 16" length of rigid airline ..



Next, install the assembly through the collection cup and place it in the skimmer.. The rubber grommet is to keep the airstone from floating.



Then attach some airline to a quality air pump, the results should look something like this when youre done... Thats about it. I dont recommend using a Maxi1200 on this skimmer, too much flow and not enough contact time, the stock Rio 800 works much better... If you have any questions, dont hesitate to ask.
