Aarrrrgggggg! Wasted Time!!
You would think someone with my amount of experience could do something as simple as cover a drain with eggcrate, but noooooo, i had to go and get a snail stuck in there yesterday and my top off dumped 5 gals of fresh water into the tank
. Now, you would think i learned my lesson, but noooooo i woke up this morning to another(this time Large mexican turbo) firmly lodged where no human can get to it, and another 5 gal of fresh water in tank
. Yes i'm wearing my sign!!!
so two hours later, after taking a Drill to my overflow and drain line, i now have some shinny new eggcrate screens over my intakes... now lets wait a few days and see what affect this has on my corals
The one thing that did save me from total dissaster was the emergency overflow i installed,, It is a larger Screened drain that starts working if the tank gets too full
My Reef is Alive and well Despite My repeated Daily attemps to kill it!!
