The heater went haywire in my daughters nanocube yesterday and cooked the tank and its inhabitants. The water was at 95 degrees when she found it and was starting to get cloudy. We turned the heater off and let it sit overnight. When we got up this morning, boy did it smell nice. I have spent most of the day getting it cleaned up. She has decided she no longer wants a tank in her room. This is probably a good thing since she was to lazy to care for it anyways. Teenagers :angry . Well I threw out the sand figuring I would not need it again. The rock I put into an old salt bucket with a powerhead and saltwater.

Here is my question. I am ordering a new CADLights 22 gallon tank tomorrow and figure I can reuse this rock. Any idea how long until the rock will be OK to put into a tank again? I have an old sump and a skimmer that I could put the rock in if that would clean things up quicker.

Thanks,
Kevin
