This will be my third year as the top level sponsor of this vintage motorcycle event. Trust me I don't make enough money at my low level construction gig but after seeing nobody sponsor the first year and almost letting the second year slip by I stepped up to help really push the event. It's a very cheap camping weekend with all sorts of extras included. A weekend at any camp grounds would cost just as much but without any events. This is such a great event that Luckenbach allows us to host it there every year. This is not a normal event for the place. If you aren't into the idea of camping at the event at least come out Saturday to look around at what us vintage enthusiasts do with our lives every weekend, eat some homemade ultra thin fries, and drink a beer while walking around the place.
Events include and are not limited to motorcycle shows with some of the rarest bikes ever produced being pulled from museum exhibits for the weekend only, silent auctions, raffles, trials riding events, music, new bike demos, and a really cool European car show has begun to sprout in the parking area.
It's all for charity and the site lists how all the money is distributed. My good friend Russell lost a child to cancer and this group, The Candle Lighters helped the fight every step of the way. After his loss he felt it was his duty to help others that are still struggling with their fight. He has an interest in European motorcycles and somehow this all got put together. So even if you are nut an enthusiast please think about joining us on this weekend just to help out and enjoy a nice day in Luckenbach.
I know their are plenty of riders here at MAAST. I expect to see everyone of you out there. If you ride American or rice I still expect to see you out there. I don't want to hear the gripes about how you don't get along with such and such group of riders. Put down the barriers for the weekend and come see where a lot of our roots were started. Even if you only like bikes that run 200mph and are made of plastic come see where it all started. I appreciate all types of motorcycles and have collected a broad spectrum from British, Austrian, Japanese, Italian, Spanish and a few others, I've learned to appreciate all 2 wheelers.
This event is perfect for MAAST riders and non riders as it is almost halfway to either San Antonio and Austin.
So who's coming?
