I recently got a 1/3 HP chiller for my 180 aquarium. I went up level on the chiller because I figured it would run less. I currently have it in a kitchen pantry, which is behind the tank. I have about a 1 sq ft hole cut in the wall to run the hoses, as well as to provide a means for venting hear. I am amazed at how much heat this thing produces.

Anyhow, to drive the vent hole, I tried using a large computer-type fan, which is about 6" across. It is rated at 85 CFM. However, it still seems to get to around 84 in the closet, when the ambient temp in the room is about 78. I'm not sure if that is too hot to run the chiller, but it would be nice to be able to keep it somewhat close to the room temperature in there.

Can anyone suggest a good fan for this application? Or tell my what would be a recommended max temp for a chiller?

Thanks!
