I was playing on the last table in Vegas a few months ago. I had a pair of 9's and the flop was a 9-6-6. I went all in. Guy next to me did to. He had the other two 6's. Finished up eigth. They paid the top 7.
Best hand I ever had was in a regular poker gam, 7 stud. It was a table stakes game, hi-lo split, 8 or better to go low, with no limit, cash. My two down cards were K-K. Next up cards were 3-K-J-6. Pot got up around $800, I had trip K's, so I felt good, two people were obviously going for flushes, but could not connect the straight flush. My last down card was a J, boat. Guy next to be opens up, bets the table, pot goes to $1600, he obviously is betting a flush, guy next to him calls (flush also, possible lo), pot goes to $2400, guy next to him has trip 6's up (I have the 4th 6), he actually folds a boat (to this day I do not know why, but it was the best fold I ever saw), I bet the pot raising it to $4800, flush guy next to me calls, making it $6200, second guy calls, pot goes to $8600. Flip cards, the other two had OK flushes, their jaws dropped when they saw my down cards K-K-K-J-J boat. No Lows, I rake the whole pot. That was the last time we played such large limit games. There were two people who voted against them in the future....
